Once by sheer coincidence, I arrived in Lugo on the day when the Roman festival was starting. Initially, I had planned to just sleep over and head out in the morning, but when I saw it, I couldn’t resist and decided to stay for a day. It was a wonderful day.
I remember there were also some theatrical performances, but only one stuck in my head. The one used to attract attention at every other stall. A young woman with large cleavage leaning forward and diligently polishing a perfectly clean counter.
Unfortunately, I have very few photos from the festival. I was captivated by the atmosphere and forgot to take pictures.
Sun, beautiful women (I never before realized how perfectly were Roman dresses adapted to emphasize the beauty of the female form), the smell of roasting meat, Roman soldiers marching to the beat of drums, pastries melting on the tongue…
As I say, it was a wonderful day.
